How Pixel Photo Booth Collects Consent for SMS Texts

Pixel Photo Booth LLC uses its verified toll-free number exclusively to send event guests their photos via one-time SMS messages.

No marketing, follow-up, or promotional texts are sent. Pixel Photo Booth does not sell, share, or store phone numbers for any purpose outside of single-use photo delivery.

Guests are offered the choice to have their event photo texted to them. Consent is captured directly on the photo booth touchscreen through a two-step on-screen confirmation process. Guests must take two clear, affirmative actions:

  1. Tap “Yes” to confirm they want their photo texted.

  2. Manually enter their own phone number on the next screen to receive the message.

This process meets CTIA and Twilio’s definition of express written consent for transactional SMS delivery.

Step by Step Consent Flow

Step 1 – Invitation to Receive Photo (On-screen Consent Prompt)

The booth displays the following screen:

Guest Action:

  • If the guest taps “Yes”, they agree to receive a one-time text containing their photo. If guest taps the “X” button, the screen will skip text delivery.

  • The disclosure below the button states:

By tapping ‘Yes,’ you agree to receive a one-time SMS text message with your photo from Pixel Photo Booth. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP. By tapping ‘X’, you will skip text delivery and can still get your printed photo. Texting the photo to your phone is completely optional if you prefer only the print.”

Step 2 – Guest Entry of Phone Number

After selecting “Yes,” the booth presents a second screen:

Guest Action:

  • The guest manually enters their phone number and taps “Send Photo.”

  • Disclosure text below the entry field states:

“No marketing messages. Reply STOP to opt out.

Step 3 – Immediate Delivery of Photo

The photo is sent immediately in a one-time text message.

Example message: “Your photo from Pixel Photo Booth! Tap below to view or download. Reply STOP to stop messages.”

Step 4 – Revocation (Opt-Out)

Guests can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP.

No additional texts are sent once STOP is received.
